I've been watching our Democratic candidates quite closely and have not yet endorsed any one of them, nor am I committed to doing so before the primary.  However, the time I've taken has granted me clarity that I had just a month ago.

For example, when I see Foster aligning himself with the Blue Dogs openly...and then I read a story like this about the Blue Dogs...I do not question why so many progressive Democrats back John at this time.

To be fair to Bill, I know he is talking about fiscal responsibility when talking about the Blue Dogs...and Bill has been fairly clear in his opposition to the war.

I wuold personally like to see more discussion here and elsewhere about our Democratic candidates...I'm not jumping to conclusions and hopefully you are not either.

I would agree about having more discussion. At the debate yesterday some people were yelling at candidate Jotham Stein about the Blue Dogs, though he never stated his support or them. He believes that working with all groups is important and it is too early in the race to align himself with a group.

I'm glad you are chiming in on our board on behalf of Mr. Stein. Your personal opinions and experiences would also add depth to our discussions. Please encourage Mr. Stein himself to jump in too.

My opinion is there is room in our party for a variety of viewpoints and no group, not even the Blue Dogs, should be villified. Running against Blue Dogs is not a winning strategy in my view since most p
people think of Blues Clues the cartoon character when you use that term. It's intra-party politics and to most voters, that's boring.

I would, however, like to see more discussion about the differences between candidates, particularly in an open forum such as this board where entries are not pre-screened and all viewpoints are welcome.

Thanks agian.

Foster endorsed by 19 Nobel Prize Winners...

An impressive feat.  We'll see if it translates into voter support, but impressive nonetheless.

It's a good time to be a Democrat in the 14th District!

My jury is still out on Foster. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming debate. I hope he impresses me more than the representative he sent to the committee meeting - I was ready to flush Foster after meeting him and listening to his demands regarding the upcoming debate.

To their credit, all the participating candidates for the debate were able to cooperate and agree on debate terms. Voters now have an opportunity to learn where candidates stand on the issues. See you at the 11/12 debate!
