We deserve to know who 'wants' the job versus those who feel entitled to the job.
US News is reporting that Hastert may run & win his primary only to quit an pick his replacement...My first thought was...has any Republican said they'll run regardless of Hastert'sdecision? Oberweis, Lauzen and even Burns all said no-go if Hastert runs...And clearly Washington-based journalists don't read our local papers because Hastert ruled this out completely by proclaiming "“If I run for the primary and win the primary, I will run for the whole race..." in the Kane County Chronicle. Don't they know that whatever Hastert predicts always comes true. Example:
Sean Hannity: Your prediction is one week from this Wednesday you will still be the Speaker of the House of Representatives?
Hastert: Republicans will win and I will run for Speaker.
