Hastert met with the Beacon News Editorial Board yesterday. Not a single shred of news, just shooting for their endorsement I suppose.
Among his denials, avoidances and evasiveness...he admits that sometimes "...the spears that people chuck sometimes draw a little blood." That is only depth within this entire article...not that the reporters and editors didn't try.
The best part? When he blames the press (i.e. - the people he's actually speaking with at that moment) for many of his problems and he accuses them of having an agenda (i.e. - their not stupid liberals who cause him problems, they are smart liberals who conspire to give him problems - BIG difference)
Well, never let it be said Republicans can't slander you to your face while smiling and asking for your endorsement.
