ABC7 reports Hastert has cancelled all television appearances.

He is bunkered down at his home, and a fundraising trip next week, the first of about 30 scheduled, has been cancelled by the GOP candidate.

George Stephanopolous said he does not expect Hastert to last another week.

Chicago Public Radio reporting many, many reporters and satellite trucks camped out across the street from Hastert's office in Batavia.

Chief of Staff for Hastert named by Fordham as the person he contact, 3 years ago, about Foley.

Additional pages coming forward...and a senior GOP representative called for an investigation of a reported incident whereby Foley was turned away from dorm for Page's while intoxicated.

All I can say is...My Goodness!

The scandal has reinvigorated the campaign of Hastert’s Democratic challenger in the November election, John Laesch, who said Hastert was “absolutely” guilty of a cover-up Wednesday.

“I will challenge his word,” Laesch said in an interview on MSNBC-TV’s “Hardball.” “I will get out there and say so.”

Asked whether he believed Hastert was a man of integrity, Laesch told MSNBC-TV’s Chris Matthews: “I think that this issue has defined the clearest difference between myself and Mr. Hastert, that being I stand for honesty and integrity, and I’ll let the voters decide where he stands.”

The scandal has energized his supporters, said Laesch, 32, a former naval intelligence officer. “Our phone has been ringing off the hook, and this is they only thing people want to talk about.”

And one more bonus line for this, the Saga Thread...apparently, no tv and no radio too!

He made no public appearances and did not call into a Chicago radio station for a scheduled on-air interview.

WGN in Chicago bust out Hastert for lying to them, on the record!

But according to the show’s producer Matt Bubala, who spoke to ThinkProgress tonight, the interview was very much scheduled, and Hastert staffers apparently were not telling the truth about why Hastert bailed on the show.

Bubala said the statement by the anonymous Hastert staffer was a “flat out lie.” He says that Hastert’s deputy press secretary Chris Taylor emailed him midday — before Kirk Fordham’s revelations were made public — requesting an interview with Williams for tonight. As the scheduled time for the interview approached, Bubala said, Taylor called several times claiming that Hastert was on an important call and likely might not be available in time for the interview. But according to Bubala, an employee for WGN’s sister television station said that while Hastert was supposedly on a telephone call, a WGN cameraman was filming Hastert arriving at and entering his home in Illinois.

Hastert In Lockdown...

The local NBC affiliate reports this morning, "As far as we know, Dennis Hastert has not emerged from his home here in at least the last 24 hours. And when he does, then he's gonna have a throng of media waiting for him.... there is so much media here that there's a Hastert security detail assigned to make sure we stay in line."
