It was very sad to see the child-like behaviour of certain Democrats when the Speaker came to the parade staging ground.  Yelling at his entry when he arrived while wearing shirts that clearly identified whom you supported made not only you look bad, but your canidate as well.

Winning elections is all about winning the hearts and minds of the voters.  Yelling at your opponent identifies you as not only a "zellot" but more importantly as a jerk.

If we wish to win, then we must be seen as the BETTER choice, not as the rude choice.  Please don't complain about a lack of civility when you yell at your opponent in a VERY public forum.

The 2 folks who did this know whom I'm talking about.

Politics is not a childs sport.

Oswegoan, I happen to agree with most of your above. I didn't witness the offending behavior, but acting like a jerk is not necessary if that is indeed what happened.

As a fellow Democrat, I hope you feel emboldened enough to approach these people and tell them just what you think. Prompt and honest feedback is what can change bad behvior...at least that's what all the child-raising books tell me anyhow. I know I would.

I hope we'll be seeing you around this site more often. There are a lot of good Democrats willing to engage you in some fun exchanges.

Best regards...

Here is what happened for all you that want to know me and one of my friends went up to when Denny came ridding in on his big old fire truck and ignored me once again. I’m out to get results I try the ethical way first but that doesn’t always work. So we yelled we want a debate my job is to make sure the people get the truth not lies now the paper is pressuring Denny a little bit is that so bad. What is hurting my campaign is when others don’t smile a nod on our side of the fence and yell things like saying SS Sinking fast refusing to walk together make a party division very public hum did we see this yes so until every one else grows up why should I. Every inch I make as a candidate there seems to be some on from the Dems side bashing me or taking it back five steps good luck to the people running in Kane because until the fighting stops we can kiss this one good by like the rest This dose in clued Myself Crawford Liz Rubby and Kenny we will all fail Get It

Did not hear that anyone tried to speak w/Denny first, but yelling in public may not be the best route. It's great that the papers are mentioning the debate issue, but there are more productive and appealing ways to get this stuff in the papers. Your enthusiasm is appreciated - just hope it's channeled more suitably for your campaign's sake. Let's not blow this out of proportion, time to move on.

I agree w/you - It's very sad to hear about dems refusing to march together (maybe the yelling factored in? just guessing - don't know if that happened before or after the refusal). In any case, I am fine w/internal disagreements - we can't all agree on everything, but would hope they can be constructive and respectful. The nastiness must stop! We have so much work to do and we have so many great people involved who want to help - let's work!
