There has been some excitement at my polling place today (Bristol 11, 12, 14, 15, 16).  Congressman Bill Foster and candidate Jim Oberwies were both there this morning greeting voters.  Both parties also have placed campaign signs in the neighborhood near the polling place.

Candidates & signs & campaigning IS allowed by state law to take place 100 feet or more from the polling place.  Some freak show keeps calling 911 to report these things.  The election judges are fully aware of the rules, as well as the candidates and the police.  The police will NOT take action on any of these activities that occur 100' or more from the polling place.  Obviously whoever is making these calls does not know the rules, and should stop wasting the police dept's. time.  I mean seriously - 911 calls???  Get a life.

Regarding signs, the parties that have placed signs should remove them soon after the election.  If they do not our HOA will contact them to make sure they do.
