The best thing to do is park at Plainfield Central High School (24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield, IL 60544) and walk to the start of the Parade (Ira Jones Middle School campus, 15320 Wallin Drive, Plainfield, IL 60544 (just south of the Avery YMCA). You can get to the high school from the south by taking route 59 north and turn left at Fort Beggs, and from the North, take Route 59 South to Fort Beggs and turn right. Here is a link to a Map of the High school.
Their website says:
Due to the construction on Lockport Street the parade route has been altered slightly.
The Parade will line up this year at Ira Jones Middle School campus, just south of the Avery YMCA.
The parade will actually start at Woodfarm and Lockport street, then turn on James Street to Ottawa, Ottawa to Illinois, Illinois to Commercial, Commercial back to James, and James to Fort Beggs.
Here is a map of where the middle school is (Point "A" on the map) as well as the parade area :
Basically there is one bridge over the river on Route 126/Lockport Street into Plainfield.
If you are coming from the West, the best bet is taking Route 126 into Plainfield. If you end up parking at the beginning of the Parade, we can find a way to get you back to your car.
If worse comes to worse, you can find the parade route and jump in where-ever you are along the route.
