8/10, Sunday – Montgomery Parade. Please join us! Calling all Dems!!! We need a large group to make a great impression and show people how the Dem Party in Kendall County has grown! There will be also be candidates in the parade so lots of Dems are needed to support all the Dem groups. We have a large parade float with plenty of room to ride, or you can walk - your choice. COME AND SPEND A LITTLE TIME IN THE PARADE!
Parade line up is at the Old Lyon Metal parking lot, 420 N. Main Street, Montgomery, IL 60538 (northwest corner of Main St. & Madison in downton Montgomery). Step off is at 1:00pm so plan on locating the Dem group by 12:30pm. Parking may be challenging so allow plenty of time to park and locate our group.
Shuttle buses to & from fest run 11am-10pm and stop at Douglas Commons Shopping Plaza (southeast corner of Douglas Rd. & Montgomery Rd.), Anderson Apts. (Briarcliff Rd. east of Montgomery Rd.), Lakewood Creek School (Lakewood Creek Dr. south of Rt. 30), and near Lyon Metal parking lot (southeast corner of River St. & Mill St. in downtown Montgomery).
Kazoos and T-shirts are available for marchers. Bring candy to hand out and a bucket or bag to carry it in.
