Since it's pile on Denny week...let's keep things rolling with this tid-bit from the Washington Post... Wanted: One Copy Editor -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The press release writers in House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office may lose their performance bonus this month. Last week, Hastert left Democrats chortling when he issued a release with the headline, "Fiscal responsibility is not an option in this House of Representatives." The headline was pulled, a bit clumsily, from a quote by Hastert, which read in full: "Make no mistake about it: Fiscal responsibility is not an option in this House of Representatives. It's a mandate from our voters who have every right to know that lawmakers are being responsible with taxpayer dollars."

Y'now when John Kerry said he had voted for the 87 billion dollars (when it was funded) before he voted against the 87 billion dollars (when it was not) none of the Republicans stepped forward to provide the intended context. Glad to see we haven't sunk to that level.Still funny though.
