The votes have been tabulated and while the result is not what we hoped for, we have a lot to be proud and thankful for. Over 30,000 people heard our message and voted for change. Over 2 dozen newspapers and organizations endorsed our campaign. The support has been truly gratifying and humbling.

I want to personally thank everyone for their hard work and support during this long campaign season and rest assured that I will continue to be a strong and vocal advocate for the issues we so strongly believe in. This election is only one step along a long journey to ensure that those without a voice are heard, and heard clearly, by those in power.

I congratulate Senator Lauzen on his reelection and will support his efforts when I think he is right and will speak out strongly when I think he is wrong.

Annie and I will remain profoundly grateful for the friends and supporters that we picked up along the way and ask that you stay involved and engaged in this wonderfully confusing thing we call democracy.
