I just checked on the Election and Voting/Canidate information page and was suprised that there are only a few local Democratic canidates listed there.  I know that there are 5 people running for county board and only 1 is listed.  If there is no photo available should there at least be a person's name there?

With everything that has happened in Washington over the weekend, the republican canidates are going to have a hard time getting their voters to the polls.  Our folks have a much better chance than they have ever had.  I hope that the central committee is committed to geting those folks thier best chance.

The Central Committee will look like petty fools if any of the folks not listed actually win.

I would love to see all of the candidate information on the site.  I wish I could get any information about the cadidates not listed here.  I think those candidates need to provide some information so it can be posted.

I think it's probably better to post the information the cadidates want as opposed to the information you think they want.  I had to do that in the primary and during the last general election in a flyer that I passed out.  I wasn't real comfortable with that.

We all know who's running - all of the names have been put into the newspaper that's being handed out.  I agree, we have an opportunity to take advantage of a bad situation created by the republicans - any Democratic candidate can have their information posted on this site - all they have to do is provide it.

C'mon candidates - help us help you and give us the information you want posted - time to get to work so we can get Democrats elected next month!

The candidates listed have provided campaign and event information to be posted on this site, as well as attended many KCDCC meetings and events.  As you well know, we try to contact all local candidates/precinct committeemen for various things such as getting on the website, participating in meet the candidate events, and participating in the Kendall Dems Election Newspaper we've just published (which, by the way got a great response from most local candidates).  If candidates choose not to respond, attend meetings, or to provide information for the website that is beyond our control.  We are happy to post candidate's campaign and event info when provided.

I'd also like to point out that prominent links to other local organizations are provided here, even though the courtesy is not reciprocated.

I am sure you are aware, since you were in attendance, that I specifically requested from Martin Flowers a picture and an issue statement for several of the board candidates at the Aug 28th Kendall Democrats meeting. Neither he or any of the candidates ever responded. We have always been willing to post any information provided to us by any democratic candidate or democratic organization. I know Martin has my email address, if you would like me to post these other candidates perhaps you can contact them and get them to respond, as they have ignored repeated requests from this organization and, I can only assume, from Martin Flowers also.

Oswegoan, you raise a good point. All candidates running for public office on the Democratic slate should be working hand-in-hand with the Central Committee to ensure their election victory. Sometimes it's always good to re-state the obvious.

In your second point you ask rhetorically whether the Committee itself is committed to supporting all of the candidates. I think the answer is obvious from the posts above mine. However I would also point out that this very forum, where your constructive questions are welcomed and encouraged, is but one of many new and exciting ways that we are bringing the Kendall County Democratic community together for one purpose, Democratic victory.

Obviously the Republicans in Kendall have no such outlet for their various members and shame on them. The Kendall County Democrats choose to lead by example and I would encourage you to keep the discussion going because that is what this forum, this website, and this Party is all about.

I understand that they may not have formally given you their info, but shouldn't their names and their races be there at least. That basic info is available to you.

My friend, I appreciate you concern. But not only do we list other democratic organization on this site that do not do the same for us...

But, we now list out every Democratic candidate running for office in Kendall County, even those who do not choose to work with this orgnaization.

Please check out the Voter Guide button on the top left of the site. I think you'll be pleased.

Keep those comments coming...and remember we are all volunteers with families and careers. A little patience is all we ask.

Oswegoan - Thanks for staying on top of this stuff. I assume you've already contacted IL Young Dems to make them aware that the KCDCC and the John Laesch campaign, as well as other local candidates, are not listed on that site - and should be. It would be nice to see everyone get in the Dem spirit!
