Lt. Governor Pat Quinn to endorse 50th State Rep. Candidate Mary Schneider
Mary Schneider, Democratic candidate for State Representative in Illinois 50th District, is honored to have earned the endorsement of Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn. The endorsement will be announced at a press conference at the Kane County Government Center ,719 South Batavia Ave., Geneva, IL on Friday October 24th at 12:30 pm.
“Mary Schneider has a proven record of service to her community, the people of Illinois and on a national level,” said Lt, Governor Quinn. “Through her advocacy work she has shown her ability to stand up for the needs of the people and work with legislators to pass necessary legislation. She will be an excellent representative for the people of her district.”

Governor Quinn has a long history as a taxpayer and consumer advocate who works for the needs of the people, “said Schneider. “ He and I share a belief that responsible government can be a force for good in the daily lives of the people of Illinois; I am honored to have his confidence and endorsement.”
With this endorsement Lt. Governor Quinn joins Congressman Bill Foster in his support of Schneider’s race. Schneider has also received the endorsements of the West Suburban Teachers Union Local 571 ; The Illinois Education Association; The AFL-CIO; The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 30; UAW Region 4; and The Children’s Neurobiological Solutions Foundation, anonprofit research foundation to dedicated improving the lives of children disabled by neurological disorders through research focused on brain repair and regeneration.
Mary Schneider lives in Batavia with her husband and two children. She has been active in her community as a past PTO President and currently serves on the Batavia Interschool Council. She is an advisory board member for Chicago Health Connections as well as a global advocate for the National Marrow Donor Program. Schneider proposed and assisted in the drafting and passage of the Illinois Cord Blood Banking Bill which has helped thousands of people across the country receive treatment for life-threatening diseases. Recently Schneider was honored to have the privilege of meeting with legislators in Australia concerning funding of their public cord blood bank and speaking before the New Zealand parliament in order to aid their efforts to craft and pass their own cord blood banking legislation.
