Please note that I just want to state that I am supporting Sen. John McCain for President.  This is for two main reasons: 1)  He is a moderate and this will allow Hillary to run in 2012. 2) I don't trust Obama.  He speaks with a forked tongue.  The Democratic voters got it wrong again.  Obama should not be the candidate.  We have just handed the White House to the Republicans.  Mark my words.  Vote McCain do not just blindly vote for Obama.  See you in 2012.

You are, of course, free to cast your vote for whomever you plase, but I have to question the extent of faith you would be showing in Senator Clinton by voting for McCain. Surely, the damage McCain could do in 4 years while waiting for HIllary to take over would negate any advantage. Or so I think. Do you think she would be able to reversing that damage?

This is your explanation for your vote? ... "I don't trust Obama.  He speaks with a forked tongue. "???  And this is what you have to say to Obama voters? ... "do not just blindly vote for Obama."???  Not a very convincing argument, and insulting to Obama voters.

It appears you may have taken seriously the onslaught of ridiculous emails flying around the internet about Obama, or you just don't like him.  I am curious about your actual reasons for not trusting Obama, which are not explained in your post.

Go to www.snopes.com and www.factcheck.org where most of the untruths and distortions about Obama are addressed and debunked, then come back and explain why you do not like Obama as a candidate.

Wow - My primary reason for supporting Obama is precisely because he doesn't speak with a forked tongue. (Read my previous post "Barack Obama's Speech on Race" - Just below this thread in National Politics.) I think he's one politician who isn't afraid of the truth - and believes his audience is intelligent enough to understand the truth - in all it's unvarnished complexity.

I have a difficult time taking an unsupported comment such as, "I don't trust him" as a valid argument.

However, let's examine the Supreme Court. Rulings on controversial issues of late have been split 4/5, primarily in favor of protecting the constitution and individual rights/protections. Several of the Justices are in advanced age. It is extremely likely that the next POTUS will be recommending 1 if not up to 3 new Supreme Court justices to the bench. These are not positions that can be changed, once approved. When we consider first that McCain has no intentions of upholding Women's Rights, and in fact has a record against them - that is concern number one. Then we review patient rights and protections, and we can be certain he does not support those as well (quick review of his lacking healthcare plan shows this). So consider the damage that can be done, that cannot be reversed four years from now. Not to mention more needless deaths in his 100 year war in the Middle East.
