As a Jr. High young'n, when I took Civics in the Ozarks, I had a typical 13yr-old's disinterest in the  workings of the American government.  I did end up learning a bit though, and as an adult I've continued to bolster my political accumen.

One of the most basic things we learned, long before we were old enough to vote, is that the Supreme Court has the right and obligation to interpret and make binding judgements on the constitutionality of laws passed by the other folks in goverenment.  Apparently, Mr. Bush didn't pay attention  in Jr. High...

What a nasty man.  Presuming that the Executive Branch gets to decide what's constitutional. Maybe Bush should go back to grade-school so he can be more qualified to be President.  Of course, then he'd have to go to high school and college... By that time, his term would be over.

How embarrassing that America elected such a cad.

I suppose that once again, the ABA will be a foe of conservative pundits and bloggers. It wasn't long ago that Bush et al trot out the ABA analysis of John Roberts and Sam Alito to further their approval by the Senate.

This was after conservatives beat up the ABA for their ratings of lower court judgeships.

National Journal and others have already started their ticky-tack take-down.

What a laugh...
