Kendall County Illinois is divided into nine townships each township is divided into precincts. Precincts are determined by the number of voters in each precinct. Periodically precincts are added to a township when the number of voters exceeds some arbitrary number determined by the County Clerk.
The Kendall County Democratic Central Committee is looking for active Democrats to fill the position of Township Chairman to coordinate the Precinct Committee Persons for the Township. Precinct Committee Persons are responsible for working the precincts in which they have been elected. Precinct Committee Persons can also be appointed by the Kendall County Democratic Central Committee Chairman.
Precinct Committee Persons are responsible for electing the Kendall County Democratic Central Committee's Executive board. This board is up for election every two years and is elected by weighted vote. The Precinct Committee Person's weighted vote is determined by the number of Democratic ballots pulled in the Precinct Committee Person's precinct.
